A veteran executive in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Connell's former positions include: Chairman, Lynch Interactive Corporation; Chairman and Part-Owner of Golden Triangle, Canada; President and Chief Executive Officer of NYNEX Cable Comms, Inc.; Vice President, NYNEX Global Markets Integration; Vice President, Marketing and Technology, New York Telephone; Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, New York Telephone; General Manager, Manhattan, New York Telephone Company; and Director of Operations, Office of the Mayor, New York City.

Mr. Connell was recently elected to the board of directors of Airwire.net, Inc. He also serves a member of the Board of Directors of Superior Telecom (NYSE). He has a B.A. from Colgate University and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
